The Skibbereen Heritage Centre uses today's multimedia to display two exhibitions; The Great Famine Commeration which show visitors what times were like during the Great Famine and  The Lough Hyne Interpretative Centre in which Ireland's first Marine Nature Reserve is explained using multi language audio-visual complimented by visual displays.

Visitors can explore the conditions on board the early emigrant vessels to America and a convict ship leaving Cobh to Australia in 1801, discover the connections between Queenstown and the Titanic and learn about Annie Moore who was the first emigrant ever to be processed in Ellis Island....
