This pathway runs from just beyond the Craigavon Bridge along the river for about a mile towards the Prehen Boathouse and playing fields. It is a most pleasant and peaceful walk surrounded by greenery on one side and the river with much of the city within view on the other. You can make a complete circuit along the top of the walls which was rebuilt in 1789. One of the cannon over Shipquay Gate was a gift from Elizabeth the first in 1590.
